Growing up, I believed I thrived on creative projects, but I set that aside for a larger period of time because of my love for sports, specifically basketball, which took over about 12 years of my time. However, during my freshman year of high school, that's when Taylor Michael Photography started to become more than just a thought.

It became a passion.

My career began as a sports photographer, where I wanted to combine my passion for sports and photography. This allowed me to work as a Creative Assistant during my undergraduate degree from Furman University from 2021to 2025. Although sports photography was a skill I became comfortable with early on, I wanted to unleash new styles of photography that let me interact with new clients and develop my professional skills as a well-rounded photographer. From 2023, I began taking on additional photography projects, including graduation photos, couples, and campus organization headshots outside of my academic schedule.

I graduated from college in May 2025 and moved back home to Bluffton, SC, where I was also born and raised (fun fact!) This led me to obtain my business license right after graduation to pursue photography while working full-time!
